Description

Come along to the opening of this year's special exhibition at the Reventlow Museum. We are exclusively offering a small number of tickets for the official opening of WEDDING – the beginning of a new life? Incidentally, the event is only for invited guests.

Enjoy dance music like in the 1700th century, taste wedding cake. Hear the curators talk about the ideas behind the exhibition and see the wedding dresses on display, which have been worn by living women from manors in Lolland and Falster. You will also be able to discover the story of the wedding between Christian and Frederikke in 1774 while admiring the newly sewn copy of Frederikke's wedding dress in Indian silk and the newly decorated bedroom with the pompous four-poster bed.

The music is provided by violinist Kristian Bugge, who interprets the dance melodies from the Reventlow family sheet music. The wedding cake was created especially for Café Frederikke by Pabst in Maribo, and a Cherry Love from Frederiksdal Chersebærvin is served with it. Everything is included in the price.
